The Tuscan countryside has a quiet voice but if we pause to listen it speaks volumes. In this short video, you'll hear the brief and gentle soundtrack of a typically moochy day for me: the soft crunch of gravel underfoot, relaxing birdsong, loud lawnmowers, beeping metal detector, car Italian radio and a whole symphony of cicadas.
These are the simple, grounding moments that define life here since leaving the UK one year ago. So please take a breath, press play, and enjoy a glimpse of rural Florence life antics washing over you from the hills of Firenze where the daily routine and mountain stillness isn't without its intense and chaotic sounds, before a welcome fizz of a homemade Aperol Spritz at sunset tops off the day. ◡̈

The dog walk is a great start to the day before house chores and relentless laundry duties. At least now I can navigate washing machines and dryers in Italian and drive on the right, from the right, eek.
Ciao a tutti!
